I'll try to save you time and start my review with the "one issue". The issue is that there's a tiny gap on one of the sides of the tang next to the wood for the handle. I tried to include a picture to show this gap, but it's so small, you can't even really see it.This doesn't really cause a HUGE issue when using it and you can't really feel it. Every so often I did notice a tiny pinch from it though, which is why I decided to deduct a star for this.I'll be sure to update this review over time if it gets any worse. The rest of the handle feels very secure though, so it may not even get worse.I actually like the way the handle feels in my hand too. Like I said, you can't notice the gap most of the time and the shape of the handle actually fits my hand perfectly. Plus I mean, the handle is beautiful. The three colors of wood and the pins all look beautiful... there's just no other way to describe it really!I actually really like the sheath for this knife too! When I first looked at it, I wasn't really a fan of the look of it.I like the handmade leather look of most things but for this I just kinda didn't like it. When I felt it too, it didn't really feel like real leather. (I'm sure it is, but it kinda had a glossy texture to it.)After using it for awhile today though, I actually really like the sheath! I like it the most out of the 4 fixed blade knives that I have. It's simple, but its' just perfectly functional. It hangs at the right height off your belt, not so low that it's bouncing around while you're walking, but not so high that it jabs you in the side if you sit down. It's easy to take the knife in and out of, and the clasp at the top is easy to snap. It seems like they actually got the clasp right for this sheath too. I had two knives that I was out testing today and the other knives sheath hung a lot lower off your belt compared to this one, and I honestly had to take the other knife off my belt cause it was bouncing around everywhere. This one I kept on for my whole walk.Summary/Final Thoughts:Overall, this is a very good knife. It's sharp, the blade is thick, the edge retention seems great from my tests so far and it feels good in the hand too.If you're looking for a daily workhorse type knife though, I really wouldn't recommend this knife. This one is great, but it's more of a decorative/mild/mid use knife.Honestly, this knife is actually perfect for me because I'm not a super "outdoors-man camper type", but every now and then I'll go on hikes or camping trips, so it'll be great to take this knife along with me. For the rest of the time when I'm not hiking or camping, this knife will look great sitting on the shelf too.Again, just re-stating I didn't take off more than one star for the gap in the handle thing because of how minor it is at the time of my writing this review. As I use this knife more though, I'll be sure to come back and update this if the handle gets any worse.I'm usually not one for decorative knives, but something drew me to this. I'm not sure if it's the rugged look with the wood handle, leather sheath or just subtle upswept blade that just beckons me to go explore the woods with a backpack and a trusty knife. Or it could just be that its 3 am and I'm desperately needing sleep.Regardless, this is a pretty decent knife. Very much feels like that stout old knife your Grandpa carried with him all the time. There's just a certain charm with the style of this knife that feels timeless. It cuts like a champ, holds an edge fairly well and can handle most tasks suited for a knife of its size.As far as the decorative flair on the blade, I'm a bit torn. In a sense it gives it character, but on the other hand once you start using the knife you kind of just wish it was an empty finger hole for added grip.Either way, this is a fairly stout knife for evoke a sense of adventure in the outdoors - be it preparing a fish you just caught for dinner, or just whittling some wood by a river bank. This is a SERIOUSLY beautiful knife to add to any collection. My husband has lost several of his knives over the years, and when i saw this one, it stood out as I’d never seen anythingg similar. The part that’s cut out is a really cool detail that makes it extra unique, and the sheath is nice quality too. This is a great knife to carry whether you’re fishing or hunting, or just like to carry one on you in general. Came sharpened, and ready to gift. Glad to have added this one to hubby’s growing collection for everyone to ooh and aah at! Recommend! This is a different knife then I have ever seen, I really like the design and weight. The sheath appears to be handmade leather and fits the knife well.I would say this is more for display, but it is very sharp. My only concern would be with actual use, pieces of stuff could get stuck into the design.Shipping was super fast and it came packaged pretty well. This would definitely make a great gift idea for those knife collectors and hunters. This of course is not the type of knife you would carry around for daily use. This is more of a collector. It goes great with the rest of my knives. The sheath is leather with some tooling around the edges. The handle of the knife is decent. It does have a bigger handle but is smooth and feels good in the hand. The blade is sharp. There is a laser cut out of a hunter with his dog and a goose. The cutout looks pretty good with clean lines. In all it’s a great collector and for the right person this could be a great knife. I would definitely recommend. This came sharp, and the steel is good. Of course you can get higher quality for more money, but this is very nice. Good styling, and would make a great gift for the right person. So far, with three used, it's been tough and durable. No negatives or problems at all. Very nice fit and finish. Carries well and works great. Recommend.
